PRINT PORTFOLIO CLAMSHELL BOX
Handmade folios contain a selection of twenty images curated by MF Cardamone. Each image is reproduced on archival 100% rag paper, in a 16x11 inch format. Folio collections are accompanied by biographical information about the artist and an index of the plants.
A word about the project from Lead Graffiti, a letterpress print and bookmaking studio in Newark, DE:
“Mary Fran produces very original botanical images combining anatomical images of plants and leaves with historical information. Illustrative details, typewritten notes, and calligraphy combine to produce a rich and visually powerful image. She came to us to produce a series of clamshell boxes to hold portfolios of 16" x 11" prints of her work.”
